In T-minus 30 minutes from typing this the Summer round of Cramathon will start! I know i’m getting to this suuuper last minute but that’s mainly due to the fact that I totally forgot to make a TBR so here I am… flailing around per usual before readathons. However, I have a really exciting line-up of books on my list to read so i’m veeery excited to share them with you all!
~also~ now that i’m on summer break i’m hoping that i can finish these all easily since all i really have planned this week is my graduation — i can totally read during the ceremony though, right??
challenge #1 // A predicted 5 star book
▸ Pride, by Ibi Zoboi
I picked this one up at BookExpo last week and oh my god am I freaking hyped to get into this! Pride and Prejudice is honestly one of my fave classics so there is no doubt that i’m going to be obsessed with everything about this! (Plus, I read Ibi Zoboi’s short story in Meet Cute and freaking loved her writing style!!)
challenge #2 // A book out of your comfort zone
▸ Neverworld Wake, by Marisha Pessl
This seems like a pretty dark thriller with some other strange aspects to it (on Goodreads it says that one of the genres is Sci-Fi so i’m curious about that) and i’m slowly getting into more thrillers so this is definitely not my most ~comfiest~ read but, at the same time, i’m ready for something new!
challenge #3 // A book that has been on your TBR a long time
▸ Gemina, by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
If I could count the amount of times this book has been on my TBR for readathons I would run out of numbers. It’s insane how I still haven’t gotten to it but my goal is to finally pick it up this week! I’ve had many peeps tell me that this is their fave in the series so that makes me even more hyped!
challenge #4 // A book that is LGBTQ+ ownvoices (yay pride month!)
▸More Happy Than Not, by Adam Silvera
I feel like this needs no explanation because Adam Silvera is basically a king and after meeting him once at BookCon he is literally the greatest so it makes me kick myself even more for not reading his books yet. This shall be the week of change though! Mark. My. Words.
challenge #5 // Something that is not a standard novel (graphic novel, audio, comic, novella, poetry, etc)
▸Kindred Sprits, by Rainbow Rowell
This is a suuuper short story by Rowell about waiting in line for a Star Wars movie and sounds sososo cute! It’s only 62 pages which makes my heart so happy and I know i’m going to enjoy every bit of this!!
challenge #6 // A book that has your fav color on cover
▸ Emergency Contact, by Mary H.k> Choi
I have so many colors so a challenge like this one is always easy for me to do and after seeing the beautiful pink on the cover of this book I knew I had to include it! Plus, it takes place in College and now that i’ve finished high school i’d love to read a book with that setting to get me hyped for the Fall!
challenge #7 // Read 7 books
▸ Escaping From Houdini, by Kerri Maniscalco
This one is definitely a novel that I am craaazy hyped for so there is no question about if I’ll get to this or not. I literally neeeed more of Audrey and Thomas since their chemistry keeps me alive and breathing (a little over-dramatic but you get the point ahaha).
Are you participating in Cramathon? If so, what’s on your TBR? Have you heard of any of the books I mentioned above? Are there any other readathons you’re looking forward to this Summer? Until next time,
Happy Reading! ♡
