Top Ten Tuesday: Character Names I Love and Wish Were My Own

Top Ten Tuesday is a blog meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Every week there’s a new given topic and you post your top ten list that goes with the subject. This weeks topic is a Freebie so I thought I would do a subject that I’ve always wanted to write about… character names! There are so many unique names given to these fictional characters and, not gonna lie, i’m extremely jealous of them. Don’t get me wrong, my name is fine but don’t mind me as I live vicariously through all the characters’ with wonderful names!

ANYWAYS, here’s my list of names that I fawn over every time I see them:

Passenger, by Alexandra Bracken

Truthwitch, by Susan Dennard

Angelfall, by Susan Ee

The Anatomical Shape of a Heart, by Jenn Bennett

Starry Eyes, by Jenn Bennett

Cress, by Marissa Meyer

Juniper Lemon’s Happiness Index, by Julie Israel

These Things I’ve Done, by Rebecca Phillips

Sky In the Deep, by Adrienne Young

A Court of Thorns and Roses, by Sarah J. Maas

What are some of your favorite character names? What are some of your least favorites? If you had to write a story, what would you name the main character? Until next time,

Happy Reading! ♡xoxo

    1. Ahh thanks and that’s awesome how your friend’s name is Dara! I guess we all go through a time where we don’t like our names (at least I did lol) so I totally get where she was coming from even though her name is gorgeous!

  1. These are some great names! Cress may be my favourite, but that’s mainly because I love the book 🙂 When I’m naming characters I usually go for names that have a meaning that I think matches their personality or sometimes doesn’t match because I like my characters’ names to have meanings towards them 🙂

      1. What?!I used to absolutely hate it when I was little because I though female names needed to have an A in them. I was a weird kid lol Thank you so much!
Secret? What secret? I don’t know what you are talking about 😉

  2. I love this topic! And I especially love the names you picked! There have been so many times I’ve wished I could change my name to a fictional character’s. Though most of my favorite character names are from fantasy series, which probably wouldn’t translate well to real life, haha.

  3. This topic is SO creative! Love it. (Pretty much thinking I’ll be borrowing it for a future “blogger’s choice” TTT topic. ;D)

Etta is a really sweet and pretty name, and it’s from a book I’ve yet to read! Someday. 🙂

    1. Ahh thanks!! Go right ahead too, i’d LOVE to see your answers in the future! I agree, Etta is super cute! The character’s personality does sort of match that too since she’s quite classy lol 🙂

      1. I just added “The Anatomical Shape of a Heart” to my shelf too… so I’m hoping it’s a good read. 🙂 Thanks so much for visiting Finding Wonderland.
